VREDESTEIN SPONSORS ZOUTE 

 GRAND PRIX 2016

The Belgian seaside resort of Knokke-Heist hosted the seventh annual Zoute Grand Prix from 6 to 9 October 2016. Vredestein was one of the sponsors of this elite event, which attracted huge crowds of car enthusiasts.

The Zoute Grand Prix 2016, which revolved around rare classics and contemporary exclusive cars, was an exciting event for participants and spectators alike from start to finish. The Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti T57 Ventoux, Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso and the Bizzarrini 5300 GT were some of the jewels at the event.

The Zoute Rally took place in Knokke-Heist and the surrounding countryside. Two hundred and two cars took part in the rally along with famous former drivers such as Jochen Mass. This regularity rally was won by a Porsche 356 B from 1961. Friday evening saw an auction of classics, organised by the British auction house Bonhams where a Porsche 356 ‘Pre-A’ 1600 Speedster from 1955 went under the hammer for €586,500.

Overall, car enthusiasts were certainly treated to a quality event. The 2017 Zoute Grand Prix will take place from 5 to 8 October so save the date!
