Vredestein’s e-bike tyres are exceptionally well-balanced. Because the compounds were developed based on our expertise in car tyre technology, our e-bike tyres are suitable for speeds of up to around the 50 km/h mark.

World premiere during Eurobike: the Vredestein Fortezza Flower Power, made of rubber from dandelions
Apollo Vredestein showcased a prototype of its Vredestein Fortezza Flower Power at the Eurobike exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany. This innovative road tyre is made of rubber extracted from the roots of dandelions, the result of a joint initiative with Wageningen University and Research (WUR) called DRIVE4EU, co-financed by the European Union. Vredestein’s involvement illustrates the importance that the company attaches to sustainability and innovation.

Lightweight and durability just became close friends
Lightweight racing tyres offer many advantages, such as more speed, grip and comfort, and lower rolling resistance. However, a well-known downside of light tyres is an increased risk of punctures due to the economising on the anti-puncture material. Vredestein’s developers, therefore, set themselves the task of making a lightweight, durable high-performance road tyre with solid puncture protection.
