CAREY AGRI IN IRELAND SHARES EXPERIENCE WITH VREDESTEIN TYRES

Carey Agri is located in Quilty, County Clare Ireland. A stone’s throw from the West Coast of Ireland, the company’s headquarters are very close to the well-known Cliffs of Moher. Against this idyllic backdrop, Brian and his brother Declan, with their staff, support the farming community in the area. Carey Agri offers its services in a part of Ireland where animal husbandry is paramount, so Carey Agri’s specialities are mainly grass and hay related.

It is a relatively young company and started out about 15 years ago when the Carey brothers had a spreader which they also used to spread manure for other farmers. The rest, as they say, is history. They operate a fleet of more than 20 tractors and assorted machineries, such as mowers, balers, self-loading wagons and loaders.

As always, but perhaps more so in Ireland, both the quality of work and trust on a handshake are important in business.

Through their tyre supplier, Jim O'Hanlon, the Carey brother heard about Vredestein. They decided to put one of their tractors on Traxion+ tyres to give it a try.

"These tyres last for an incredible number of hours. More to the point, they offer better traction, even when they are worn, unlike many other brands."

That tractor has, so far, clocked more than 9,000 hours and the tyres still have around 25% of life left.

As the Carey brothers say: "These tyres last for an incredible number of hours. More to the point, they offer better traction, even when they are worn, unlike many other brands.  They also pick up surprisingly little dirt, keeping the county road commissioner and fellow road users very happy.”

Given their experience of Vredestein tyres, the brothers have become big advocates for the brand. All tractors needing replacement tyres will be in line for a new set of Vredestein.
